PHILANTHROPY
More about our philanthropy...

Alpha Chi Omega's national philanthropy is
Domestic Violence Awareness.
This holds a special place in our hearts here in the Beta Psi Chapter. We provide support, advocacy, and education about this topic across our campus. Our philanthropic efforts are focused on supporting our local women’s shelter, DART (Domestic Abuse Resistance Team), which provides critical resources and refuge for women and families affected by domestic violence in the Ruston area.
Through events like our annual Walk a Mile event, fundraising initiatives, and hands-on service, we are proud to stand beside DART and contribute to its mission. For Beta Psi, philanthropy is more than just giving back, it is about using our voices and actions to make a lasting impact in the lives of women in need right here in our community.
A look at our philanthropy events...

Walk A Mile
The biggest event that Beta Psi puts on is our annual Walk a Mile event! This past year we raised over $30,000 for this event. We had the best day spreading awareness about our cause!
Denim Day
Denim Day is an international day of awareness and protest against sexual violence that takes place annually in April, during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This year, Beta Psi hosted a panel with open questions and information about both this topic and resources in the Ruston area.

Healthy Relationships Week
This is a week dedicated to spreading information all about DVA and healthy relationships! We hosted several booths and events across campus to spread love and education.
